"The SignaLinc RF is the most important part of the INSTEON network. SignaLinc RFs create your dual-mesh INSTEON network by simultaneously transmitting and receiving INSTEON messages across both radio frequency and your homes existing electrical wiring. When used as a pair, the SignaLinc RFs couple the two different electrical phases of your home's AC lines. This provides the most reliability to ensure your message will reach its intended INSTEON device. Since each SignaLinc RF repeats INSTEON messages, the more you add to your system, the more robust and reliable your network will be.
